Technology really became prevalent in high school for me. I only knew how to use Microsoft Word and Power Point. When I got to Florida State for Summer C, I took CGS2060 and I learned a lot about various programs on the computer. I still find myself being challenged by technology, but I am excited to learn more, especially if it will help me be a better teacher one day.
Like I just said, I find myself to be technologically challenged. Because of this, I really hope to get a lot out of this class particularly when it comes to Windows. I have gotten so use to Apple products, but I know most schools use the Windows programs instead. Also, I remember I struggled some with Excel when I was in CGS2060 and I know that learning how to use that would be valuable later.
After taking the learning styles quiz, I have learned that I am very set in my ways. I got an 11 in sensing which shows that I much prefer facts to concepts. And a 9 is visual and sequential which shows that I prefer maps, charts, and pictures and that I like order. The only one that was not as strong was reflective. I got a 1 in the reflective learning style which makes sense because I am more reserved.

We will be covering Windows and Excel, Katie, and you will be able to develop skills which will help you become more comfortable using Windows OS and spreadsheets.
